Police connected a robbery Tuesday in Chapel Hill to a man arrested for a similar string of armed robberies in Raleigh later that afternoon.

A Durham man was charged Wednesday with three robberies and an attempted robbery Tuesday in Chapel Hill and Raleigh in which the suspect was armed with a sawed-off shotgun, police said.
